Note su un bollo d’anfora realizzato con gemma

Abstract

This paper analyzes a stamp identified on a fragment of an amphora rim found at the thesaurus sector of the archaeological area of S. Eulalia in Cagliari. The particularity of the stamp is constituted by its realization through the use of an engraved gem, with a rich iconography. The phenomenon of the stamping of ceramic supports was examined, as well as the typological analysis of the fragment and the iconographic register of the stamp, up to the analysis of this system applied to transport amphorae.
