Nuovi dati sui monumenti funerari con fregio dorico dall’Umbria

Abstract

This contribution discloses the finding of two Doric Friezes, reused in the cemetery of Penna in Teverina (Terni) and in the medieval fortified village of Soprano di Todi (Perugia). Starting from these artefacts, first the paper proposes a collection and a new interpretation of the funerary Doric Friezes known in Umbria. Then the settlement and historical vicissitudes of the Ameria’s and Tuder’s agri are analysed
